Hakim Karimovich Zaripov (Tashkent)—an Uzbek, Soviet circus artist, horseman, horse trainer, and People's Artist of the Soviet Union (1980).

Hakim Zaripov was born on September 17, 1924, in Tashkent into the family of Karim Zaripov, the founder of a circus dynasty.
He began his circus career in 1938 in the horseman ensemble “Uzbek Riders” under the leadership of his father, Karim Zaripov.
He led this group from 1952 to 2006.

Together with the ensemble, he toured many cities and foreign countries: Bulgaria, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Germany, Romania, Mongolia, Hungary, and Finland.

He graduated from the Tashkent Music School named after R. Glière (now the Republican Special Academic Lyceum of Music named after Glière), and later the conducting faculty (symphonic department) of the Tashkent Conservatory (now the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan).
He worked as an artistic director for various circuses, programs, and circus troupes.

He has trained many circus performers.

He continues his professional work to this day. He has revived the “Uzbek Riders” group and is currently engaged in horse training.
